I tasted for you #1 – Brunch at The Yardbird, Miami Beach

My parents came couple of weeks ago to visit us. We met them in Miami and did a road trip in South Florida. I can share with you our week road trip, where we stayed and where we went to eat. I wanted them to try some good old traditional southern food. What is the best place to do so other than the Yardbird in South Beach Miami?

I have heard so many people talk about this restaurant and how amazing it is. So we had to go check it out. Believe me I wasn’t disappointed. I was deliciously amazed by the quality, the quantity of the food as well as the southern ambiance of the place. Everyone loved it!

Let me tell you about Yardbird, it is a rustic southern restaurant & Bar. Everything revolves around the southern cooking, from the design of the place to the centerpieces decorations. The food was amazing, a bit pricey but totally worth it. It was pouring rain outside bit the atmosphere inside the restaurant was incredible. I felt like I was in Louisiana for a bit.

We went there for brunch, and if I can give you advices, just make a reservation and get there on time. The place is always packed and is very popular right now. It is almost impossible to get a table without reservation especially on the weekend.

I tried the avocado toast. It was a delish. I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed with this dish. I love avocado, bread and prosciutto, which were the main ingredients.

I recommend trying the Chicken N Waffle N Watermelon. This is what they are known for. The chicken plates are huge. It is a lot of food and it can definitely be share.

We tried the Mac N Cheese, which were deliciously creamy. I love Mac N Cheese and it was by far one of the best I ever had.

If you are a seafood amateur, try the Shrimp N’ Grit. It was very good and I am not a shrimp person. But the meal was so tasty.

For the dessert we tried the famous Peach Cobbler, which is a Southern typical dessert. It was good but there was too much cinnamon for me.

The Yardbird is a brunch place you don’t want to miss while in Miami.  They also serve lunch and dinner. The Brunch menu is served only on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am to 4pm. You need to check it out and let me know what you think.
